Getting Started (A Suggested Dialogue for Parents)
Let’s get ready for meditation, a quiet time with God. Find a comfortable place to sit or lay down if that feels good to you. Gently put your hands in your lap. Do your best not to fidget, keeping your hands and legs still. This is quiet time. Without making a sound, gently close your eyes. Slowly take a deep breath with me and hold it in. Now slowly let the breath out. You’re ready for your meditation. Listen to my words.
Meditation 1
God is love. I am love. I am naturally good. The divine spark of God is within me. I remember God’s love is always with me. Love goes where I go. I find good everywhere. I show love wherever I go. It is easy to do. I love myself; I let me be me. I smile. I laugh. I sing. I play. I hug. I feel good when I show love. In the silence, I am still and I feel God’s love … I am happy. I am positive. I am thankful and I show love. I am love.
Meditation 2
I am a good friend. I care about others. I remember to think before I act. I think about how my actions will hurt or help others before I do them. I choose actions that show others love. I send love to the people I care about. I picture them inside a bubble of love. In the silence I am still. I am inside a bubble of love … I make good choices. What I choose to do does not depend on what others choose to do. I am strong enough to choose to do what I know to be right. I am thankful. I am loving.
