This month, we invite both parents and kids to sit down together and ponder the following questions about their passion and dreams--no matter what your age! Then write or draw your answer in full detail and send it to us. Parents: Think back to when you were your child’s age. Have your answers to these questions changed since then? How are they different?
• If you could do anything, what would you choose to do so you could wake up everyday feeling excited?
• What are you just crazy about? Maybe it’s a certain kind of animal, a sport, collecting antiques, art, music, or anything else. Why do you love it so much? How do you feel when you think about it?
• Lots of people have lots of different kinds of jobs in the world. What job would you love to do, even if you didn’t get paid for it?
• What person do you know, famous or otherwise, who shares the same passion as you?
• What are five things you want to accomplish in your life?
• Has anyone discouraged you from pursuing your passion?
• Who supported you in following your dreams?
• If your success was guaranteed, how would you spend every day?
• If money was guaranteed, how would you spend every day?
Place it in an envelope, address it to North Star Family Matters 698 E. Promontory Rd. Shelton, WA 98584, stick a stamp on it, and send it to us! (Or, if you prefer, e-mail it to us at dreams@northstarfamilymatters.com)
