The newest member of our family arrived in an awfully big hurry on the evening of December 14th. Seriously, we barely made it into the labor and delivery room!

Laura Shelton Garfield is a mom of two who says she has a lot to learn from her kids. She’s dedicated to raising Charlie and Clarissa with the same Unity values she grew up with, and she’s constantly amazed at how difficult such a simple purpose can really be in practice. Laura is also a social media consultant, a freelance writer of children’s stories and a published author in the field of business management. In what she calls her previous life, Laura spent 10 years as a broadcast news writer and reporter. She attends Unity Temple on the Plaza in Kansas City.
